Amsterdam Acrylic Paints
Amsterdam Acrylic paints are made in Holland and is a great acrylic for the beginning painter! The paints are made with 100% acrylic resin and come in recyclable tubes. We sell them in sets of 6 and 12 colors.
Deco Arts Acrylic Paints – Americana Series
Americana Acrylic paint is an indoor/outdoor paint that can be used on most surfaces. No primer or varnish needed and is considered non toxic. It is fast drying – like in 15 or so minutes and is lightfast. We carry over 36 of the colors in single bottles or sets of 12 colors.
Liquitex Acrylic Paints
Liquitex started business in 1955 in Great Britain and is currently part of the Colart Group. It is and environmentally aware and strives to reduce their carbon footprint. We carry their Heavy Body Acrylics in single tubes. The Heavy Body Acrylics is a thick, high viscosity , pigment rich paint. It is lightfast, of artist quality and will hold brush strokes and knife marks well. There is a minimum color shift from wet to dry.
Gels and Mediums
GLOSS AND MATTE MEDIUMS can extend the paint and can provide an either gloss or matt finish. Mediums can also be used as an adhesive in collage and multi-media work.
MODELING PASTE is used to create more 3 dimensions to a painting. The difference between Modeling Paste and Light Modeling Paste is the weight of the paste. Light modeling paste is 50% lighter for large pieces when weight is a consideration.
IRIDESCENT MODELING PASTE adds an iridescence finish to any color of paint. It can also be used alone to highlight portions of a painting.
POURING MEDIUM is used to add a liquid quality for poured paintings and to keep colors more clear.
VARNISHES come in both a matte and a gloss finish. Varnishes are used to seal your work.
PEBEO High Viscosity Acrylic Paints
PEBEO is a French company that opened in 1919 and introduced the Studio Acrylic paints ink 1992. They come in over 50 colors. The paints are a thick consistency, has a satin finish and has a variety of opaqueness or translucency depending on the pigment in the color. Their paints are free from heavy metals, can dilute easily, dries quickly and is resilient to aging. We carry the tubes of paint singly and also carry some of the gels and pastes.
